This Fastener Basics course provides training in a small group environment and offers materials to take back to the job. Students will grow from novice to knowledgeable. TOPICS INCLUDE • Basic Terminology • How to Call Out Parts • Hex Head Products • Large Threaded Fasteners • Nuts • Socket Products • Common Materials • Screw Drives, Head Styles and Threads • Washers • Rivets • Coatings and Finishes • Self Locking and Sealing • Metric WHO SHOULD ATTEND Fastener Basics is perfect for employees new to the fastener industry, anyone who needs to know more about the products they sell, as well as warehouse, sales, and purchasing employees. It also serves as a prerequisite to attend Fastener Training Week or individual Certified Fastener Specialist™ courses, for those with less than two years of fastener experience. PRICING The cost to attend is $354. Association members (Pac-West, NFDA, IFI, MWFA, NCFA and SFA) receive a discounted rate of $254. CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS Cancellations and requests for refunds must be made in writing no later than two weeks before the start of class and are subject to a $350 processing fee. Individuals will receive a written confirmation of cancellation from Fastener Training Institute. All no-shows will be invoiced for full registration fees. The Fastener Training Institute reserves the right to change instructors or cancel seminars and cannot be held responsible for costs incurred other than the registration fee.
