Common issues will be broadly covered with problems categorized into several areas: raw material, forming, thread rolling, secondaries, handling, heat treating, and plating. In addition to identifying the problems, common causes and prevention strategies will be reviewed and presented. The class concludes with a review of sorting technology and which common quality issues are capable of being detected.This is an intermediate level class that exposes participants to new ways of thinking about root causes to common quality issues and how to prevent them.
