After completing this invaluable industry training in a small group environment and passing a final exam, attendees are eligible for the CFS designation.The curriculum includes:•Acquiring specifications•Basic fastener math•Certifications, test reports and lot traceability•Consensus standards organizations•Dimensional specifications•Hands-on equipment experience•IFI resources•IFI technology connection demonstration•Material specifications for steel fasteners•Off-site plant tours featuring manufacturing, secondary processes and/or testing facilities•Print reading and tolerances•Quality assurance systems and sampling plans•Specification exercises•Structural bolts, nuts, washers and machine screws – stainless steel•Testing standards, fastener finishes and inspecting fastener dimensional features•Thread technology and gage issues•Torque tension•Torque tension demonstration•Understanding how fasteners failWho Should Attend:•Fastener distributors•Engineers•End-users•Manufacturers•OEMs•Quality Assurance professionals•Sales professionalsThe five-day training is advanced, so we recommend attendees have two years of experience or complete Fastener Basics or Product Training in advance.
