With this foundation, participants will learn about failures in service resulting from overload and progressive failure modes like fatigue and corrosion. In addition to basic engineering and mechanics of failure, this course is peppered with actual case studies illustrating how issues occur in the real world. By understanding these mechanisms, participants will gain a greater perspective on the criticality of properly designed, installed and manufactured fasteners. Who should Attend This course is designed to be a simple but comprehensive look at why fasteners fail. It is appropriate for anyone with an interest or focus on fastener engineering, design and manufacturing. Understanding potential failures will help educate participants on what to look for and how to prevent failures in the future. Suggested participants include those new to the fastener industry, technical associates in quality, engineering or materials, technical sales professionals and anyone who would like to learn more about why fasteners fail.
