It explores how standards are developed and amended; reviews different standard types - as well as the organizations that generate them; and compares their differences and similarities. The class includes practical application, so students gain confidence in identifying and using different industry standards. In particular, the NAS and AMS family of standards are highlighted as well as how the Procurement Standard is used in conjunction with the Product Standard. WHO SHOULD ATTEND This course is designed for individuals who use fastener standards. It is likely more helpful to those new to the industry or who seldom use standards - but will also serve as a good refresher to those with many years of experience since fastener standards always evolve.
